Parece que el director de predator, esta a punto de ir a la carcel, por un escandalo que surgio, aqui les dejo la noticia:
A bizarre story out of Hollywood unfolded today and ended with famed director John McTiernan - responsible for action classics like Die Hard and, of course, Predator - with a four month jail term and a $100,000 USD fine. Here's the story from the Agence France-Presse, an international news agency:
Movie director John McTiernan has been sentenced to four months jail and given a US$100,000 fine for lying to investigators probing a Hollywood wire-tapping scandal.
McTiernan, who is best known for directing blockbuster action movies Die Hard and Predator, was also sentenced to two years of supervised release after admitting making "knowingly false" statements to the FBI.
McTiernan, 56, was charged in April last year in a probe that has threatened to envelope some major stars over alleged phone bugging carried out for Hollywood heavyweights by private-eye-to-the-stars Anthony Pellicano.
A federal criminal complaint said McTiernan, whose other films include 1990's The Hunt For Red October, lied to investigators about hiring Pellicano to tap the phone of a Hollywood producer, Charles Roven.
It wasn't clear why McTiernan ordered the wiretap.
Pellicano who also has worked for Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor, has been accused of conspiracy and plotting to secretly bug the phones of stars including Sylvester Stallone, Keith Carradine and a dozen other people.
He is also accused of using bribes to obtain police records on people he was hired to target, including US comedians Garry Shandling.
Pellicano remains behind bars after pleading not guilty to charges in a 110-count racketeering and conspiracy indictment, which could get him up to 20 years in jail.
The Los Angeles Times is also running a story that provides a few more details. Apparently McTiernan's defense is arguing his poor state of mind when he was originally questioned by FBI agents and as a result entered a guilty plea to the courts. If he was deranged enough to spy on Gary Shandling, maybe they've got something there.
Si alguien fuera tan amable de traducirlo se lo agradeceria. ;D
